Taking time to pamper yourself - Henderson Edition

July was my birthday month, so I decided to try some new things I had not tried before. I went to a Japanese Hair Spa in Chinatown, which was a little far drive from Henderson but well worth it. My friend and I went for my birthday, and I enjoyed every minute of the treatment. You start off by filling out a form to indicate what you are interested in for your hair. Then they take you to a dimly lit shampoo area with the most comfortable chairs. You lean back, relax, and enjoy 30 minutes of scalp massage, steam, and a hair mask; it was amazing. Afterwards, they wrap your hair up, and you sit in a chair with a freestanding blow dryer. They offer green tea and lemon cookies, and they also massage your shoulders and arms while you sip on your tea. There’s a free blow-dry for you to dry your hair a little bit; they do not style it, just dry it, and you’re out the door. My girlfriend even treated me to the Monta Japanese noodle house inside the same shopping center. It was an amazing day.
As local spa business owner I was running a birthday special, so all my packages were 50% off. As a consumer, it’s important to look out for such deals, especially in July, as it’s not only my birthday month but also a time when people run specials like Christmas in July. Take advantage of these times to purchase things which are usually full price at half price or a discounted rate. I highly recommend stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new for yourself. This treatment was amazing, and I would definitely recommend making it a regular occurrence.
As a consumer looking for something to do, there are plenty of things in Las Vegas to try, so branch out and pamper yourself. With August already here and back to school season approaching, now is the perfect time to schedule some pampering before getting back to our fall schedule.
